The process of testing accommodation refers to the provision of special arrangements or adjustments made during an exam to accommodate individuals with disabilities. These accommodations ensure that all candidates, regardless of their circumstances, have an equal opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities during the examination process.
Financial Modeling Institute will review all testing accommodations submitted 6 weeks prior to the exam registration deadline. A candidate’s inability to submit within the requested timeframe may impact FMI's ability to allocate resources appropriately to accommodate the request made.
Financial Modeling Institute strives to implement appropriate adjustments for candidates in line with documented needs. However, FMI cannot guarantee the approval of requests for testing accommodations, irrespective of whether candidates have received such accommodations elsewhere in the past.
Candidates are required to submit supporting documentation in English. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that any supporting documentation is officially translated.
Documents that are missing pages, are blurry, of low quality and/or are not medical in nature, will not be accepted and the candidate will be asked by FMI to resubmit their accommodation request.
FMI does not store supporting documents provided by candidates. Once the accommodation request has been fulfilled, Financial Modeling Institute will delete all documentation previously provided by the candidate. Should a candidate decide to re-test in the future, documentation must be provided again for reassessment.
