Financial Modeling Institute (FMI) Mark Use Guidelines

You may use the Financial Modeling Institute name and its graphical representation (“Financial Modeling Institute Mark”) to refer to Financial Modeling Institute services only in accordance with these Financial Modeling Institute Mark Use Guidelines (“Guidelines”).

The Financial Modeling Institute Mark is among our most valuable assets. In order to preserve and strengthen our identity, these Guidelines will provide you with conditions of use and clear instructions on proper use. However, preserving and strengthening our identity can only be achieved through your understanding and cooperation in using the Financial Modeling Institute Mark consistently throughout the world. 

The Financial Modeling Institute Mark

The Financial Modeling Institute Mark is a typed drawing in a deliberate font and colours. The following illustration below is the only rendition of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark to be used. 

Care should be taken to provide sufficient contrast between background colour and the Financial Modeling Institute Mark to ensure good contrast and clear legibility.

Minimum Size

In order to ensure sharp reproductions of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark, the width of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark should not be printed smaller than 30 pixels high minimum.

Colours

The combination colours of the proprietary Financial Modeling Institute Mark are: White, Black, Gold, Grey

Symbol

The FMI abbreviation on top of a stylized shield is synonymous with the Financial Modeling Institute Mark. 

Area of Non-Interference

The area of non-interference is a clear zone around the Financial Modeling Institute Mark. In order to ensure visibility and impact and to present the Financial Modeling Institute Mark without competition from other typographical or graphical elements, the minimum area of non-interference is at least the equivalent of the height of one-half the Financial Modeling Institute around all four sides of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark.

Avoiding Improper Use of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark

  • Never reproduce the Financial Modeling Institute Mark from unauthorized artwork.
  • No modifications to the Financial Modeling Institute Mark, including colour specifications, position and relative size of the letterings are permitted.
  • Never present the Financial Modeling Institute Mark using negative or reverse “drop-out” reproduction.
  • Never confine the Financial Modeling Institute Mark tightly in a band or bar.
  • Never present other seals, logos or other marks in close proximity to the Financial Modeling Institute Mark.
  • Do not use the Financial Modeling Institute Mark in association with any third party trademark in a manner that might create potential confusion as to the ownership of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark.
  • Do not use the Financial Modeling Institute Mark outside the relationship agreed upon by Financial Modeling Institute. 

Use of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark on the Internet or Mobile

  • The Financial Modeling Institute Mark will be provided by Financial Modeling Institute and must be displayed in the manner specified in these Guidelines. The presentation of the Financial Modeling Institute Mark must include a description of your relationship to Financial Modeling Institute. In addition, the Financial Modeling Institute Mark must be linked to the Financial Modeling Institute website.
