Wouter has been modelling with spreadsheets since the mid-nineties. He has been a member of the international modelling community for many years, playing a key role in the modelling teams of several Big Four accountancy firms since 1999. He spent six years in KPMG’s modelling team based in the UK, plying his modelling skill across Europe, where he masterminded, designed and built the first few versions of the firm’s bespoke model build toolkit.
He relocated to Asia in 2005 to lead an inbound investment-focused team based out of Shanghai, overseeing a range of modelling projects across mainland China. He moved to Singapore in 2011, where he drives EY’s modelling community across Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. Wouter has been teaching financial modelling and analytics courses for more than 10 years across many countries.
Wouter holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, Finance and Accounting, and an MSc (distinction) in Management Science & Operational Research from Warwick Business School. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2005.
