The Advanced Financial Modeler (AFM)
The AFM is an exam-based accreditation from Financial Modeling Institute. Candidates prepare using FMI's learning resources, then sit a four-hour proctored exam that requires building a three-statement financial model from scratch.
Passing the AFM demonstrates applied modeling skill at a level employers and clients recognize.

Receive a welcome email within one business day with access to the FMI Community and all learning resources.

Work through the preparation materials at your own pace. The exam is offered four times per year — choose the sitting that works for you.

Sit the four-hour proctored online exam and build a three-statement model from scratch.

Pass the exam and earn the AFM accreditation, your digital badge, and your place in FMI's global directory.
